Curtis James, who goes by his stage name 50 Cent, was born in Queens, New York. 50 Cent was raised by a single mother, who was a drug dealer named Sabrina.

Sabrina with 50 Cent lived in the neighborhood of South Jamaica. His mother Sabrina, died in a fire incident when he was just eight (8) years old, after which he was raised by his Grandmother after his father abandoned him.
